Although your overall score is slightly above the minimum of 85 that is required, your scores in speaking and writing indicate that you may experience significant difficulty with the level of English required at Lehigh University. Because your ability to succeed is our greatest concern, we would like to make you aware of the availability of the Summer 2009 Semester of the Step-Up Intensive English Program. If you elect not to take the StepUp program during the summer, you may register for ESL coursework during the fall and spring as recommended by ESL and your department.
信上说的是recommended，可不可以两样都不选呢？？
